"Smaller and Faster is the new Bigger and Better. Most information today moves in small, succinct bundles. In these works, I speak to the Postdigital mind which rarely views an image longer than 15 seconds. Studying small details encourages the mind to think with analytical focus, so observers of my art slow their pace and find new lines of association delicately nestled in each composition. Painting directly on microchips, I use Oil Paint and small tools including a brush made from a single eyelash. The paintings are visible to the naked eye, but the size is usually a square inch or less, so magnifying glasses are supplied at exhibitions. Viewers use these lenses to explore the art in an interactive way." -Yuri Zupancic
